Cristal PoolTest Test Strips for Water Analysis

50 test strips for quick and easy water analysis of pH value and free chlorine.

Description
Test strips with two measurement fields for simple, direct measurement of pH and chlorine content in pool water.

Application

  • 1. Dip test strip into water for 1 second and then remove again. Do not shake off water droplets on the test strip.
  • 2. Hold test strip horizontally with the test pads facing up in your hand for 15 seconds.
  • 3. Determine pH value and free chlorine value by color comparison.

The ideal pH value should be 7.0 - 7.4 and the chlorine value at least 0.5mg/L.

Packaging size/contents - One can contains 50 strips.

Accuracy of pH Value Measurement

Small display differences between the pH reading on the water test device (with phenol red tablets) and the PoolTest test strips can never be completely avoided.

In general, the method with phenol red tablets is the more precise method!
The simpler and faster measurement with the test strips often compensates for the lower accuracy.

The pH value in swimming pool water does not always have to be exact to the decimal place!
For practical purposes, it is sufficient if the pH value is within a certain range.
The ideal range is between 7.0 and 7.4. This accuracy is achievable with both test methods.
If the display differences are larger, the cause of the differences should be checked.

Requirement for an exact reading, especially with the PoolTest test strips, is the handling:
The test strip must be removed horizontally from the water so that the water droplet remains on the test pad!
Otherwise, the values are not reproducible.
If the droplet is accidentally shaken off, the moisture remaining on the test pad is not sufficient for a measurement.

The storage method of the test strips also affects the accuracy of the measurement:
If the can was not well sealed, moisture can enter and the test strips quickly become inaccurate.
